Elite Fish and Chips already operate two very successful units and were looking to develop a new member of the family in Sleaford.
The conversion of a disused former car showroom into a comfortable takeaway and restaurant with aspirations to appeal to an extreme margin of ages from young to old proved to be the challenge.
The focus of the design was inspired with the most crucial aspect of the business, a slick operation and back up areas; from here we looked to dress the scheme.
One of the key aims was to develop a trusted brand, using all elements within the QSF armoury we looked into the name and the history and developed a narrative for the scheme using a strong emphasis on long established company. A rusticated warehouse approach was adopted with characterised theming while the existing logo and colour scheme were safeguarded to ensure the existing units weren't alienated.
The rustic theme is complimented by plush seating areas and elegant decorative furniture and lighting which creates a comfortable ambience for diners.
As the owner expected a profitable return on his investment the primary objectives were the longevity of materials and their manufacture, Quay Shop Fitters needed to ensure that all equipment, materials and workmanship were of the highest possible quality.
The colour scheme and finishes were in-keeping with the design however were a secondary priority; textures and warm neutral tones accented by highly efficient leading edge LED lighting offered a sustainable supply chain coupled with a low carbon operation which fulfilled another key element of the client brief.
The fit-out was on a tight timescale and took around three months to complete ensuring that the restaurant and takeaway could be open in good time to address any operational issues before the busy Easter break.
